Post-Holocaust Day: #332 |
Morning in the berths, and Andrea moans slightly as she starts to blink awake. The bunk feels somewhat different, somehow, and then there is an odd warmth… her eyes open even wider as she realizes that her head is resting not on a pillow, but on a chest. She looks up to see Splash, and the night before comes back in a flood. She smiles at the memory, stretches a bit, and then settles back into the curve of his body. It had been awhile since she had woken up like this. It felt nice.
Opening his eyes a bit slowly as he feels someone starting to stir, Malone takes a few moments to look around and orient himself. Those few quick moments passing, and he offers a bit of a smile, "Morning…" he offers, quietly.
"Mornin' yourself…" Andrea says with a smile. Her eyes are closed again, though, just enjoying the smell and warmth of the bunk for a moment. "Did you sleep well?"
Malone nods, "Quite fantastic," he replies, before he adds, "How about you?" He doesn't move yet, just remaining where he is and enjoying the moment.
"Not to badly at all." Andrea says with a smile, and slowly she crawls up so she can look him in the eyes. "You seem to know your way around the sack, by the way. Last night was JUST what I needed." She leans in and gives a kiss just to the right of his eye, smiling. "It's been awhile since I got to share a bunk with someone."
"Thanks," Malone offers at the compliment, before he smiles, "It was what I needed as well. You seem to know your way around quite well as well, it was wonderful." Nodding to the part about it being a while since sharing a bunk. "Too long," he offers, quietly.
Andrea's eyes twinkle somewhat as she lays back down beside him, shimmying a little to get back into the nook under his shoulder. "So, I suppose this is the time when we start asking questions about the future, yeah? Frak buddies, one night stand-land, or something more?" Her fingers play idly on his chest. "Do you have any notion on that?"
Malone pauses for a few moments as he hears that question. "I'm not sure," he offers after a few moments of pause. "Some would say that in times like this, when one's found something good, don't let it go. But then some would say that with what we risk out there every day, the fear of losing someone one really likes would keep people from pursuing those moments of happiness." Another brief pause now, "I'm not sure," he repeats once more.
Andrea cuddles in. "We… well, we've never gotten to know each other very well, so maybe I should warn you." She rolls onto her side and lifts herself up. "I… I'm not the cute girl you meet in Study Hall and take home to meet your folks. I'm the majorette you take to parties and frak until I get too crazy to deal with. I tried to be the good girl but it didn't really get me anywhere, and then a few drinks and caution thrown to the wind and I end up in a warm bunk with a guy who knows what to do with me while I'm here." She smiles. "Its not something we have to rush. I'm glad you haven't just shoved me out, in any case."
"Don't worry about that," Malone offers. "Met enough of those cute girls from study hall back when I was in University." Another brief pause, before he adds, "And sometimes, one can't be what one's not, no matter how hard one tries. You are you, and that's what matters." At the last part, he's unable to hold back a bit of a chuckle. "If I did that, what would protect me from finding all the underwear in my locker gone, or something like that, hmm?" Spoken quite lightly.
A leg is kicked over to the other side of Malone, and Andrea rolls over onto him. Hands on his chest, she lowers her head to his with a smile. "It's cute that you think you're safe from that now…" she says with a grin. "Ok, we take it slow, us being who we are and no one else. And in the meantime, we get to share a rack with somebody." She kisses him. "Sounds like a good deal to me…"
Malone smiles, "Not sure about safe, maybe a little safer than I otherwise would have been, though?" Kissing back as he's kissed, before he nods a bit, "A very good deal," he offers.
Andrea smiles, and nods. "Good. Time for the walk of shame." Another kiss to his neck, and Andrea pushes aside the curtain, stepping out of the bunk to the catcalls of the Berths. Still, her head is held high. The girls got it back.
Malone remains in the bunk for the moment, watching Andrea walk off. Keeping quiet from now, as his eyes are on the woman.
