2001.04.25 : Naked and Screaming Came She
Elisabeta is born on the heels of Armistice Day, the last of three children. Given 'Jezebel' as a middle name either for her ginger hair or to ruffle her grandparents' feathers, depending on who you ask. It becomes a quick and easy test of just how far at arm's length she holds someone - Jezza is her preferred namesake for friends. Doesn't like you? That'll be Elisabeta, not Elly, Liz, Beth, or anything else, every time you address her. Don't think she won't correct you, either. Every. Single. Time.
2005-2018 : Forming and Formative
The ruffling of ancestral feathers continue as Jezza is put through the public, not private, school system. This makes for many a lively debate at the dinner table - especially considering her elder siblings attend(ed) the finest private schools Old Money can procure. Determined to prove everyone but her parents wrong, Jezza achieves excellent grades and an invitation to attend a wide array of universities. She chooses a reputable Libran school.
2019 - 2025 : Do As I Do, Not As I Say
Jurisprudence runs in the latest generation of Sabaudias after all - Jezza answers Themis's call and trains toward a career in law. She excels in the pure, almost abstract, applications of law - yet despite this, has a strong idealistic bent. She would argue passionately for the re-writing and clarification of laws, to bring the words back closer to their true intent, then turn around and find a brilliantly devious interpretation of some legal cruft. While her heart is warmed with the spirit of the law, her tongue is sharpened by the letter of it.
2025 - 2031 : Reap What You Sow
Jezza makes her parents proud and keeps with the ruffling of feathers by becoming a Public Defender instead of the Junior Partner of some dusty, pedigreed law firm. The one firecracker in a run-ragged and jaded stable, the District Attorneys learn to dread facing off against her. This culminates in the infamous The State of Libran v. Filius case, where Petrus Filius, accused of being the 'Dockside Strangler', was found innocent after a series of tiny procedural slip-ups were discovered, then exploited, by Jezza. She resigns immediately thereafter and spends months in an Astraean convent before rejoining society.
2031 - 2040 : Fox In The Clubhouse
Surprising everyone, Jezza's career path takes an abrupt turn when she applies for a direct commission into the Colonial Fleet to serve in the JAG Corps. Though rough-going at first, she quickly takes a shine to the precision with which military law can be wielded and almost gleefully cuts through the invisible webs of old-boys clubs and tradition-over-truth.
2040 : Good Work, Now Work Over There
Promoted to Captain for exemplary work and devotion to duty - or to get the firebrand idealist out of someone's hair, depending on who's asked.
2041 : Leaving On An Airplane
Appointed to serve aboard Battlestar Cerberus, her first offworld stationing. Set to join the fleet after the Commissioning Ball at Picon, she is instead trapped in the docking corridor and barely escapes with her life. Her earthly possessions already stowed aboard the Battlestar, she waits in the Hangar Bay for her ID to be confirmed.
