Background

Captain Aron "Broadside" Matise: Viper pilot and squad leader of VF-213, the Mighty Lions, in the Battlestar Cerberus' Air Wing. He's one of the more experienced pilots aboard. Solid, steady, and a family man from Virgon, only his commitment to his private domestic life has kept him from being a Major by now.

On 25 Feb 2041 he fell down the ship's main stairs and broke his leg in three places, restricting his flight status and making him unable to continue in his squad leader duties. A temporary reshuffling of AW personnel ensued.

On 26 Apr 2041, the CAG reinstated Broadside's flight credentials despite lingering effects of his injury, citing the Wing's desperate need for veteran leadership in the aftermath of recent Cylon attacks.
