Background

Kastor is of the Vasco family - dedicated to the Fleet for generations. He is a member of CIC - Tactical and an avid pyramid player/fan. He has one sibling yet alive who also is aboard the Cerberus as an ECO. In his freetime, Kastor spends a lot of time at Pete's and on the Elpis. Energetic and outgoing, he is a stoic figure with a charming smile.

Kastor was the second to last child born in the Vasko family. Raised within a Fleet family, every one of his siblings attended the academy. All the Vasco children were committed to their choices in life, but two of the five children were rather carefree with their personal time. While Solstice and Adrastos studied nonstop and Myron prepped - Thea and Kastor snuck out, went to parties and generally had fun like most normal young adults. The two were very close and often Thea would take a hit for Kastor when their parents went out. Because of experiences out with his older sister, Kastor began to be very protective of his two sisters, even the straight laced Solstice. When Thea got married, Kastor was not happy and despised his brother in law. He wasn't good enough.

In the year 2035 AE, Kastor entered the Fleet Academy on Caprica as all his siblings did. He LOVED it. Caprica was far more liberal than Sagittaron and here he found his wings. True to the Vasco blood, he was smart enough to rank top in his class by the end. He did his share of partying but still a rather reserved young man made him the target of much attention by the women at the academy. After his graduation, he would be assigned to the BS Asteria - where his sister Thea was a Viper pilot along with her husband. Taking leave to visit his sister Solstice at the Tau Garrison during his fourth year on the BS Asteria. Of course during his visit in 2041 Warday hit and he was amongst the few survivors that Priest and Shakes were able to whisk off to the Black Country on Tauron.

Hephaestus Vasco	The driving force behind all his children, Kastor's father was of a line of Fleet officers - a retired Commander himself. Sol remembers him fondly as a devout 'liberal' Sagittaron that believed in progress and change.	Presumed dead
Penelope Vasco	Kastor's mother was a dedicated parent who stayed home to tend all five of the rough and tumble children of the Vaskos family. His mother was very dear to him. He guards the Soma braid she made for him very closely.	Presumed dead, Cylon attack on Sagittaron.

Physical Features

A strong jaw is what sets the dark sagittaron features off. The curved nose is a strong impression against slightly inset dark brown eyes. His hair is short at the sides - clipped and clean as per military regulations. He keeps a little at the top that is often gelled and kept in healthy condition. His skin is a warm tan that seems perpetual no matter how long he spends on the bridge. At nearly six feet even, his shoulders are broad which gives him the imposing figure.

• Kastor, though a Sagittaron and from a very devout family is more liberal than the rest of his family was. Solstice is almost his exact opposite in that respect. He still believes in the Lord's - just not in prayer time and even less after warday. The Lord's did nothing to protect them.
• Kastor is a bit of a pyramid lover. Ever since going to the academy on Caprica, he became an avid player and some would even say rather good.
• Kastor has an eye for things. Able to spot differences in what was there before and not after. This is mainly due to his studies in Criminology (photographic memory)
• Despite his tendencies to be outspoken and upbeat, he can be very withdrawn at times. Within Kastor is still the Vasco family mindset and years of Fleet dedicated members hint that he is no different beneath.
• Kastor likes women. He loves them. He loves to party, but he has utter respect for them. A complete gentleman. Mainly because he seems to relate all women back to his older sisters.
