[BlackKnight-662: Wade] It happens as it was expected to happen, and still, it never happens at the same time. At around 20:10 on February 17, two distinctive flashes of silver light, bring the entrance of the relentless Cylon Raiders. As soon as they appear, their engines flare up even more and they speed towards their targets. Whoever is flying on that CAP, is going to get a clear view of the 'III' marks that these first two carry. While people might be doing everything they can to prevent from this event to happen again, the Air-Wing is going to have to fight them over and over again until that happens. Both Raiders open fire against whatever target they have more at hand, and the angry KEW leaves a long trail that could call the attention from a lot of folks, and even scare the crap out of the people sitting in the Observation Deck. The Cylons are here baby, and they are coming for blood.
[TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) The Klaxons can be heard all across Cerberus and then Tillman's voice "Action stations! Actions stations! Set condition one throughout the ship! This is not a drill, I repeat this is not a drill. All Air-Wing personnel report to Deck for launch!."

[Harrier-304: Marko] "This is starting to get a little on the old side." Marko notes as he goes hot with the ECM gear. "Starting to think Classy might've had a point." he notes as he tightens his harness and shakes himself a little to kick the worst of the fatigue aside.
[Harrier-304: Leyla] "And what point was that?" Swwet Pea's reply, as she brings not-Bertha (and no she's not happy about that) into an intercept course with the incoming Raiders. "I'm still peeved at you that you went out with him and not me. Don't you know women don't like cheating?"
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Confirm DRADIS contact, Flasher. Flight, this is Poppy. Intercept and engage. You know the drill."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Poppy, Decoy. You've picked up a bogey at carom eight-five-nine seven-oh-two. Engaging."
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Copy, Decoy. Shakin' it. Go for cockpit or engines."
[TAC3] "Drips" Wade says, "Lyon, Drips. Careful out there, you have a bogey on your tail. Take evasive actions, I'll try to shoot it down."
[23:30:13] [Harrier-304: Marko] "Heh, I don't write the flight assignments, Sweet Pea." Marko protests as he slews the emitter arrays into position and starts transmitting. "And believe me, after two hops with the guy, I'm not in a hurry to make another one. He's like a frakking bullet _magnet_." he growls. "And what he was saying was that maybe all of this has something to do with a certain ancient relic we've got tucked in our hangar bay." he notes. "As much as it grieves me to admit it, the man might have a point. If we can ever get off this frakkin' hampster wheel CAP detail, I'm gonna snag me a couple of Marines and run a thorough scan of that thing."
[23:30:21] [TAC3] Sonja says, "Drips, Lyon, I read you, evading now lets take this one down as easily as the ones yesterday."
[23:30:30] [TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Copy that, Poppy. Cockpit's my favorite."
[Harrier-304: Leyla] "That's what happens when you don't put your foot down." Leyla moves the raptor in to give Marko the best spread on the field that she can, all the while avoiding becoming a target. "I already asked the ChEng to look over the ship, and neither he nor the deck were able to find anything that's transmitting a signal to the Cylons. I'm wondering if it's not that cylon we brought back from the foundry. Not that anybody on the Marine team bothered to get a good look at the raiders that were being built."

[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Poppy, Decoy. Looks we drove that one off but you've picked up another, 6060-Logo. Engaging again."
[BlackKnight-853: Khloe] "This is going to turn into a shitshow, really quickly," mutters Khloe under her breath, hopefully drowned out by her Viper's KEW and not carryign across the wireless. Her Viper does what it's designed to do, which is do unreasonably quick and agile maneuvers to avoid getting hit while delivering its own retributive strike. Unfortunately, there are no kabooms, yet.
[Harrier-304: Marko] "Well, there's that too." Marko nods, retasking his jamming gear to compensate for the increasing number of targets. "We'll have to discuss it more detail…when we're not getting shot at." he adds, turning to give Leyla a grin before going back to work.
[BlackKnight-662: Wade] And while the Cerberus crew dive into the fight without hesitation, their efforts are not enough to bring down those first two Cylon Raiders. And they area already calling friends it seems. Four new flashes of silver bring the entry of four new Cylon Raiders, all of them showing the same marks, all of them with the same thirst for blood. They all scatter around and start firing KEW, but it seems that Leyla's Raptor looks like a very tasty dish for them right now. Things are looking dark this day.
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Good eyes, Decoy. You chase that one down. I'm going to assist Sweet Pea. Sweetiepea, Poppy. You've got two unwelcome guests. Coming to assist, on your eight. You tell Flasher to keep working his magic."
[TAC3] "Flasher" Marko says, " Shakes, Flasher, see if you can vector to about one one fiver carom two one…eh, make up the carom number, don't think it'll matter. We can get better coverage."
[TAC3] "Sunspot" Helia says, "Grunt, Sunspot. You have one on your tail, I'm on it."
[BlackKnight-855: Devlin] Devlin gets off a good shot at his wingman's target, but even their combined fire can't seem to make it go boom. He heads back to Khloe's six, but there is another raider picking up where the last left off and he flips end over end to charge toward it, engaging again, trying to keep it off Khloe and allow the squad leader a chance to protect the Raptor.
[Harrier-304: Leyla] "Don't tell me flying with that farmboy's made you unable to multi-task, Marko. Next thing you know we'll be stuck on transport detail for the Elpis." Not that the pilot doesn't notice the raiders now headed right for her, "Come on, you bastards." Back to Flasher, "You ready to play chicken?" In she goes, running to the raiders rather than away. Away won't allow Marko to target them.
[Petrel-648: Helia] As the raiders come flocking in, Sunspot is on her way out, flying in formation with Wilkerson. As she spots the Raider on her wingmate's tail, she quickly cranks her throttle back, flipping her Viper up and behind the raider on Grunt's tail. "Frakking Cylons. Gods damn it all, do you frakkers ever know how to quit?!" She sneers as she sends her shots toward the Raider. "Granted, I don't particularly mind watching you frakkers die painful deaths…"
[TAC3] "Shakes" Solstice says, "Flasher, Shakes - adjusting suites."
[TAC3] "Drips" Wade says, "Lyon, Drips. A different one is after you, Raptors are being covered, let's take your fan out."
[TAC3] "Sweet Pea" Leyla says, "Always good to have you as the angel on my shoulder, Poppy."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Copy that, Poppy. I'll try to drive it away so you can clear things for Sweet Pea. Or, you know, blow it up."
[TAC3] Sonja says, " Copy that, lead."
[TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) From his cockpit, Grunt opens his wireless. "Sunspot, Grunt. That's a negative, Raptor needs help, let's help them."
[TAC3] "Sunspot" Helia says, "Grunt, Sunspot. Got it."
TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) Tillman's voice covers up the Wireless again. "Flight, Cerberus. The entire fleet is spooling FTL drives, hold them out there a little longer."
[Petrel-648: Helia] As Grunt states that the Raptor is in trouble, Helia quickly corrects her course — and her aim.
[Harrier-304: Marko] "I'm doing a lot of that right about now." Marko notes with a grunt that's half chuckle, half nerves. It's been a while since he and Leyla danced with the Cylons like this, he'd almost forgotten how aggressive a pilot she is. Not that he'd have it any other way. "Damn, this guy is really on your six, Sweet Pea." he notes. "I'm kicking all the sand I can in his eyes."

[Harrier-304: Leyla] "Bitches." Ducking and weaving, the little raptor trundles around, Leyla's hand on the controls enough to avoid both of the raiders coming in on her position, one of them splintering into debris, as she spirals away, bringing the ship up and high and back into position. "What kind of raider can't hit a slowpoke like us?"
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "Flight, Spiral. Had a malfunction in the tubes, clearing for launch now. Keep a bandit marked for me."
[TAC3] "Flasher" Marko says, "Spiral, Flasher. Welcome to the party, big guy. Don't worry, we've got what you call a target-rich environment out here."
[Harrier-304: Marko] "I dunno, but I'm not going to complain." Marko comments with another grunt of nervous laughter. "It's nice actually having a radio that _works_ for a change." he notes, surveying the DRADIS screen to tell him where to point his next round of jamming. "Damn, this is turning into a furball."
[BlackKnight-853: Khloe] Khloe's Viper blows through the Raider she was after, tearing out its engine with KEW fire and passing through the disintegration.
[TAC3] "Shakes" Solstice says, "Flight, Shakes. Classy and I have two incoming on DRADIS."
[Petrel-649: Pallas] Pallas' Viper, once again one of the old Mk IIs, comes screaming out a launch tube and heads straight toward the battle. He rolls a few times before jumping right into the heat of things. They can sort out wingman assignments later.
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Flight, Poppy. Keep it up. Target engines and cockpits, these things are slow and stupid. Continue protecting your wingman and assist the Raptors. Push it, people, push it!"
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "Shakes, Spiral. Here I come to save your ass. Draw 'em out."
[TAC3] "Flasher" Marko says, " Classy, Flasher, stay sharp out there!"
[BlackKnight-662: Wade] These are moments in which weird things can happen to the birds, because really, shit happens when you least expect it. Wilkerson gets a few shots on a Cylon Raiders and then his systems go completely crazy, to the point in which he can no longer fight because his guns are jammed. No other Raiders appear at this point in time, but some area left to fight. And Pallas? Well, he'll have to form up with Sunspot because she was left, wingman-less.
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Poppy, Decoy. Sorry about that, just a hair slow on the trigger, got his weapon a second after he nicked you. After me now instead, evading."
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Decoy, Poppy. Watch yourself, on your six. Give a hand to Classy. And don't frakking apologize, you're doing fine."
[TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) From Wilkerson's cockpit "Frak! Flight, Grunt. My guns are jammed, I can't do anything. I'm going to RTB. Spiral, cover my wingmate man, she's pretty and all"
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Copy that, Poppy. I've got a bead on one of Classy's friends, going to try to lead the other through your guns on my way."
[TAC3] "Shakes" Solstice says, "Spiral, Shakes. Let us see what you can do."
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "Grunt, Spiral. I'll be the frakking judge of that. Whose wing did you fail to protect, exactly?"
[TAC3] "Sunspot" Helia says, "Spiral, Sunspot. That would be me."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Spiral! Team Moustache!"
[TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) Wilkerson speaks again "Spiral, Grunt. Go with Sunspot, try not to drool on her you frakking drunk ass. Much love."

[TAC3] "Drips" Wade says, "Lyon, Drips. Try to see if you can get this idiot from me, I'll cover Classy and Shakes."
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "Ennnh… yeah, she's not bad, I guess. Decoy, you can join Team Moustache when that frakking mess on your face starts to resemble facial hair."
[Harrier-304: Leyla] "I'm just that good, that's all. So think about that the next time you see someone not me on your flight roster and tell Boots where he can stick it." With the raiders turning away from her bird, Leyla sweeps in, moving back to join the main fray, and give Classy as much double coverage on the ECM as she can.
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Frak off, Spiral, my pornstache beats yours any day."
[Petrel-648: Helia] As Grunt's bird goes crazy, Sunspot does a quick spin to let him get away; as she hears that Spiral will be her new wingmate, she frowns slightly. Oh god, the creep she's been hearing about. But there's no need to worry about that right now. She turns her throttle after the Raiders attacking the Raptor.
[TAC3] "Sunspot" Helia says, "Not bad?"
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "I have to squint to be able to tell there's anything even growing there, Decoy. Don't worry, you'll be a man one day. If you make it that long."
[TAC3] "Sweet Pea" Leyla says, "Can we discuss who's flavoursaver's better some other time? Just saying."
[TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) Tillman comes up again to give a notice "Flight, Cerberus. We are at exactly two minutes away from jump, keep holding them out there."
[TAC3] (from "Poppy" Khloe) "..what? You guys are into making porn, now? Maybe Blowback will take me back to the Checkmates. It's not too late."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Least I've got something to look forward to, Spiral. All downhill for you. And Sweet Pea, I can't believe you just called it that. I did not hear anything else you said."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "And no, Poppy. Well, I'm not. Wouldn't wanna speak for Spiral."
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "Gotta keep things fresh, Poppy. We've been looking at the same frakking tits for a year now."

Like we've got a lot of other options." he snerks before replying to Leyla. "I kind of like the chatter." he says. "It helps keep their spirits up. "Oh hell, I wanna be like Spiral!" he grins as he watches the Viper jock incinerate one of the Raiders.

[TAC3] "Flasher" Marko says, " Flight, Flasher, heads up, six new hostiles coming in at one one fiver carom two two four. Speed eight and closing _fast_."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Poppy, Decoy. Splashed one, you've got one of these new guys eying you. I'm on it."
[Harrier-304: Marko] "Boots light?" Marko asks, chuckling a little. "I promise to never repeat that if you'll promise never to say it again." he says, as he slews his emitter arrays to track the targets he can draw an electronic bead on. "I wonder…" he muses…."No, don't think about that now, fight the Raptor now, worry about theory later."
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Copy, Decoy. I'm still on the one hounding Classy."
[Petrel-649: Pallas] Pallas shreds that Raider to pieces, screaming over the wireless the whole time. The Raptor draws his target out perfectly, leaving it aligned and still in his sights for a full six seconds. It's not every day that you get an opportunity like that. As the Raider explodes, Pallas jackknifes his Viper and takes off on a crazy arc that brings him back around behind Helia.
[BlackKnight-662: Wade] But look at that! The Fighting Fourteenth are doing rather well, and this time, more Cylon Raiders are biting the dust thanks to a heavy dose of KEW. Are they out of it yet? Certainly not because new flashes of Silver are now showing that they have 6 new Cylon Raiders going towards them. Their engines are flaring angrily and they speed up even more, coming for revenge. Whenever they hit range, they open fire and things turn into something that would cause nightmares even to the bravest Pilot.
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Poppy, Decoy. There's one on me too, I didn't spot him a second ago, just changed course."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Still targeting the one on your tail, Poppy, but if you could take a shot at my fan here, that'd be great."
[TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) The usual shouting that happens in CIC when shit hits the fan can be heard again through the Wireless and Tillman comes up again "Fourty-Five seconds until FTL Drive is spooled and ready to go, just a little more!"
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "GET SOME, MOTHERFRAKKERS! GET. SOME. Sweet Pea, good frakking baiting. Sunspot, draw and flip. I'll come up from under this bandit. Don't frakking shoot me."
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "What, I thought you guys were looking to get fans, what, with the porn industry and all?"
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Fans, sure, but not stalkers, Poppy. Stalkers need to get popped."
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "Decoy, Spiral. I thought you denied your participation in my porn scheme?"
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Spiral, I have no idea what you're talking about. No idea at all."
[TAC3] "Sunspot" Helia says, "Copy that, Spiral."
[TAC3] "Drips" Wade says, "Lyon, Drips. I don't know what's with you, but they seem to like it. I'm coming in to cover you, just keep shaking that ass and don't get hit."
[Petrel-648: Helia] Helia does as the more experienced pilot suggests, drawing the raiders up into Spiral's range; then, she leans on the throttle, flipping her nose end-over-end until she's facing her aggressors, aiming her shots toward the nearest one with narrowed eyes.

[TAC3] "Sweet Pea" Leyla says, "Anytime, Spiral. Always willing to shake it when you need it."
[Harrier-304: Leyla] That being said, Leyla spins the little raptor back around, moving in to get right in the middle of the raiders, "Let's see if we can't get you some more targets to ping, Flasher."
[Harrier-304: Marko] "Sounds like a plan to me." Marko replies, holding his track on the bandits he's isolated until he's able to get a clearer picture of what's what out there. "Retasking, stay on this bearing if you can. This looks promising."
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "And I'm happy to come in, cannons frakking firing, when you do."

[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Spiral, Sweet Pea, Decoy. Now everything you guys say sounds like a porn script to me."
[Harrier-304: Marko] "Oh..Frak….Sweet Pea, Poppy just took a hard hit. She's still under power, but she might need a tow in when they sound the RTB." Marko reports.
[TAC3] "Sweet Pea" Leyla says, "Poppy, you copy? Can you RTB, or do we need to come and get you?"
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Poppy, Decoy. Holy shit, I'm reading four, that's FOUR raiders coming after me. Can you confirm?"
[BlackKnight-853: Khloe] Khloe's Viper takes a series of grazing shots to the underbelly which causes several panels to come undone, and a shower of sparks and smoke to trail behind her. After a quick erratic spin, the Viper rights itself and Poppy is back on track.
[Harrier-304: Leyla] Leyla just catches sight of the raider bearing down on Poppy's Viper, "That's my Poppy, you bastard!" She doesn't even need Marko's progress report, as it were, she's already moving in to shield the damaged viper until she can get the word from the SL.
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe, through a burst of static, sings out. "Drips, Poppy. You still with us? Your plane looks frakked. Sing out!"
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "Decoy, Spiral. Still chasing one of the bandits on your tail. Sunspot, take one of the others."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Spiral, Sunspot, Decoy. Thanks. Taking evasives."
[TAC3] "Shakes" Solstice says, "Decoy, Shakes. You did something out there to piss em off."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Shakes, Decoy. I think they're just jealous of my 'stache. Everybody wants a piece."
[Petrel-649: Pallas] Pallas gets no luck coming up from underneath the Raider, and neither does Helia. But he stays close on the chase after quickly checking his DRADIS to make sure he doesn't have one on him and his wingman's clear as well.
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Flight, Poppy. Raiders are focus-firing on Decoy. Break and assist. Decoy, Poppy. Keep dodging, but try to peel that one off of Classy. Shake it like you mean it."
[TAC3] "Flasher" Marko says, " Drips, Flasher, sound off!"
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Drips, if you can copy, RTB. I repeat, Drips, return to base. Your plane is frakked."
[TAC3] "Sunspot" Helia says, "Copy that, Spiral. I'm on it. Decoy, maybe they hate your moustache."
[TAC3] "Shakes" Solstice says, "Decoy, Shake. You better keep them off of you. Sure Bubbles doesn't want to share."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "You might be on to something, Sunspot."
[Harrier-304: Leyla] "Damnit, Middie, you're putting me off my flight plan." Leyla and Flasher's bird moves out, attempting to get into Wade's line of sight, signal lights flashing on. "Go, No Go."
[BlackKnight-662: Wade] Wade moves increases speed to help Sonja and by doing so, he fails to see that another Raider is after him. This Raider is a great shot it seems because his attack is a direct hit, causing the consoles in the Viper to partly explode, sending a lot of metal into Wade's right hand and arm. The Viper shakes without control as he can't really handle the bird at this moment, his arm is frakked up indeed. He is out of this one, he can barely keep the thing flying.
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Poppy, Decoy. Copy that, sticking on Classy's bandit there. Not gonna lie, my focus but is kind of on evading this frakking swarm at the moment."
[TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) Cerberus brings the good news…or at least news that will let them breathe a little "Flight, Cerberus. FTL spooled, the entire fleet is ready to leave. RTB, I repeat RTB…punch it people!"
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Cerberus, Poppy. We're in a sticky situation right now. Attempting RTB, give us thirty seconds."
Petrel-648: Helia] Cranking the throttle, Helia flies after one of those Raiders on Decoy's tail. She frowns over at Wade's bird as he lets out that transmission. "Frak…I'm going to frakking kill you motherfrakkers for that. He's way too cute to be getting hurt like that!" She makes sure nobody hears her say that, but still. She's after those Raiders for now, slamming on the throttle and blazing after one of them while staying in formation with Pallas.
[Harrier-304: Leyla] "He can't even manage a straight line. We're going to need to grapple him. Set the cables, Flasher."
[TAC3] "Sweet Pea" Leyla says, "Poppy, Sweetiepea, we're prepping cables, we'll set up to tow Drips in on our RTB."
[BlackKnight-662: Wade] Wade's hand shakes and not in a pleasurable place! He really can't control his bird, his arm is bleeding all over the place and people will be indeed, see, just like Leyla said, that he can't do a straight line right now. Which, it's complicating things a lot for the SAR team, which, he doesn't mean to.
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "Copy that, Sweetiepea."
[TAC3] "Shakes" Solstice says, "Sweet Pea, Shakes. We'll help keep em moving while you get Drips towed."
[BlackKnight-855: Devlin] A quick miss was the worst part of Decoy's evening so far… until all of a sudden he becomes every Raider's new best friend. As the quartet of attackers close in on him he dodges madly, attempting to manuver into position to get a shot off at the one still dogging Classy while not getting in the way of the other Vipers trying to help him out. It's a tricky dance, and a suspenseful one, and off comms, he mumbles under his breath as he dives and banks and rolls. It doesn't sound like 'pornstache don't fail me now', either.
[Harrier-304: Marko] "I'm on it." Marko replies, turning his seat a little to activate the grappling gear. "Cables ares…free….spooling them out…..Contact in five, four…" he counts down as he very carefully maneuvers the cables to attach to the strongest points on the Viper's frame. "Contact!..Magnetizing…Okay, we got him!" he reports. "Cinching them down a little. And…we're good. Let's get the frak outta there."
[TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) Tillman's voice calls out again, this time directly to Poppy. "Poppy, Cerberus. Thirty seconds is a loong time, make sure to use that time wisely and get back to the base."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "'Cause we were planning to use it to dick around. It's soooo fun when people try to kill you, I can't bear to go home."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Shit, sorry. Thought my comms were off."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "This is totally Spiral, by the way."
<FS3> <FS3> Leyla rolls Raptors: Great Success.
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "Just because your wife calls my name while you're sticking her doesn't mean you're me, Decoy."
[Harrier-304: Leyla] As soon as their raptor's got Wade, Leyla turns tail, pushing the engines to full throttle to get max speed, while compensating for the drag of the viper. "Get him in closer, I don't need these damned cables snapping on me before we get to the hangar."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Yeah, that was her yelling for you to stop fapping so loud 'cause it was killing the mood, Spiral."
[TAC3] "Sweet Pea" Leyla says, "Would you two shut the frak up?! Flight, Sweet Pea, we've got Drips and we are RTB. Cerberus, alert the deck we've got a viper in tow, they'd better clear us a space."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Hey, I'm the one about the get blown to shit in the next three seconds here, Sweet Pea."
[BlackKnight-662: Wade] Wade narrows his eyes and he hears the magnet hooking up against the wing of his Viper. When he hears this, he looks over his shoulder and sees Leyla and Marko's Raptor them. His finger gets to push the emergency shutdown button and the Viper's engines are killed, the only active thing now is the emergency beacon.
[Harrier-304: Marko] "Copy that….I'll har him down tight as I can." Marko says, suiting action to words as he brings Wade's damaged bird in as close as he dares.
[TAC3] "Flasher" Marko says, "Drips, Flasher, hold on tight, this is gonna be one hell of a bumpy ride."

[TAC3] "Sweet Pea" Leyla says, "Maybe you should spend that last minute thinking about something other than Spiral jacking off in his bunk, like getting yourself back to your wife in one piece."
[TAC3] "Decoy" Devlin says, "Maybe you should let me deal with my impending doom however's best for— shit! Drips! How the frak did he get hit again? Some of you should've been covering him I just dodged all those frakkers. …but thanks guys, awesome cover there."
[TAC3] (from "Drips" Wade) Tillman speaks over the Wireless again "Flight, Cerberus. RTB everyone, we can't wait anylonger, RTB and let's get the frak out of here. That is an /order/"
[TAC3] "Spiral" Pallas says, "Good kill, Sunspot. RTB now, I'll cover your ass on the way in."
[Harrier-304: Leyla] Leyla, of course, can't see the firefight any longer, but the sentiment wouldn't be changed if she could. But no, she's running fast and hot, still full throttle, as she approaches the hangar, braking quick and dirty just before Wade would hit the deck with his underbelly, the force of the braking lifting him up enough to mitigate the force of the landing. Soft as a down feather, as she hovers in to a landing.
[TAC3] "Sunspot" Helia says, "Oh ho, look at that. On my way back."
[Harrier-304: Marko] "Damn, it's good having you in the front seat again, Sweet Pea." Marko grins as the Raptor's skids kiss the deck and the elevator starts taking them down. "That was one hell of a landing."
[BlackKnight-662: Wade] Wade has his eyes closed tight, really trying to fight the pain back. It really doesn't help when enemy KEW hits his Left Wing really hard, sending the tip of the nose of his Viper towards Leyla's Bertha. Not his fault! But it's a good thing that Leyla is awesome Pilot because, when she lands Bertha, the poor 662 lands as well.
[Petrel-648: Helia] Flipping her bird around, Helia promptly high-tails it back to the Cerberus as quickly as she can. It's always a good feeling to kill one of those frakkers - especially right before the return. The moment she reaches the deck, she comes in for a nice, soft landing. As opposed to the rough one she had yesterday.
[Harrier-304: Leyla] "Yeah, that's what all the ECOs tell me." Clearly, Leyla has not forgiven Marko completely for his adulterous ways. But she is unstrapping, prepping to get the hatch open as soon as the elevator stops and get her out to tend to the viper she brought in.
[Harrier-304: Marko] :starts shutting down and doing a preliminary post-flight on his gear, chuckling softly. "Gods, I am never going to hear the end of it, am I?" he says, undoing his helmet.
[TAC3] "Poppy" Khloe says, "RTB, flight, RTB. Everybody home."
[TAC3] "Sweet Pea" Leyla says, "Deck, Sweet Pea, get medical prepped as soon as we touch down, we're going to need to peel Drips out of his ship."
[BlackKnight-855: Devlin] All Devlin's dodging and praying and babbling seems to pay off, as does the all the support he gets from the rest of the flight, somehow managing to emerge unscathed from his little fan club meeting. He whips around to provide some last-ditch cover as they speed back towards Cerberus and then zooms that way, in for an easy (well relatively easy) combat landing.
[BlackKnight-662: Wade] After all birds are safely back into the belly of the beast, Cerberus starts the FTL jump procedure and it only takes a few seconds for things to be ready. The Raiders don't stop their attack, and they won't stop until the entire fleet is gone. What are they going to do next? Well, they are going to find them again, and they are going to do exactly what they did today. They want to rule them all, they want blood and they want to end whatever gets on their way. It is times like this in which one can sit down and think, right between the attacks. How the frak is this happening? That is a mystery that is yet to be resolved.
