Background

Cora showed up on Colonial Row, Kythera, Leonis, about five weeks into the mission there. Intercepted by a search team, she spent only a day or two at Virgon House before assisting in the escape from the planet.

Upon reaching Cerberus she spent some time living in the starboard hangar along with the civilians until background checks were completed to the XO's satisfaction, at which point she was offered a billet as an intelligence officer attached to CIC, which she accepted.

On 29 August 2041, Cora was promoted to Senior Tactical Officer (TACCO) and to the rank of Captain.

Cora Nikephoros was born 8 May, 2014 in Caprica City, the seventh child and first daughter of Deimos Nikephoros, scion of the prominent family of Caprican businessmen, politicians, and military officers. Her family's ownership of Ark Shipping Lines, their best-known business venture, gained them an enviable fortune which only grew with each passing generation. If they were good at making money (and they were) they were even better at using it, finding and funding their way into all of the most prestigious and hallowed institutions in Caprica and even the ranks of the colonial fleet, and the colonial government. Cora and her brothers were raised to wealth, privilege, and high, high expectations. Her education was conducted at Victoriana Academy, an elite boarding school outside Caprica City.

Upon graduating at 17, she chose to follow several of her brothers to the Colonial Fleet Academy, and from there, Flight School, where she chose to pursue ECO training. After about a year, though, she abruptly left flight school, transferring to a position as an ensign in the tactical department on the Battlestar Asteria under Rear Admiral Aetos (wait for it) Nikephoros of the 7th Fleet. She rose through the ranks in the minimum number of years, with rumor always hinting that it was more because of her name than her skill. When her uncle retired, she was transferred to the newly-commissioned Battlestar Atlas, flagship of the 7th Fleet's Admiral Muscilli, where she assumed the post of Intelligence Officer.

On Warday, Cora was on leave from the Atlas, visiting her youngest brother, Enean, on Leonis.

Physical Features

Standing at about five feet nine inches, Cora is on the tall side for a woman, and her form can best be described as lithe. She is alabaster-fair, and blue-eyed beneath narrow brows. Her hair is a pale blonde that falls in artful waves to brush against high cheekbones and a strong jaw, grown out past her chin now to just brush the tops of her shoulders when allowed free from its tie. Her posture and carriage are nearly always impeccable, making her seem even taller than she is, and she moves with a confident grace.

Trivia

- She has the symbol for Caprica tattooed on her ribs on her left side. On her right side in the corresponding spot is the insignia of the colonial navy.
