Battlestar Columbia (BS-109)

Overview

The Columbia is a Galactica-class battlestar produced a number of years after the end of the First Cylon War. Columbia, like most of her sister ships, was decommissioned as greater numbers of the newer Mercury-class ships became available. Columbia herself was be retired from service 2 years ago amid suitable pomp and circumstance. Gradually, more and more of the Galactica-class battlestars have been taken out of service. Now, Galactica is the only remaining ship of her class — but even her days are numbered, with that decommissioning scheduled for the next month and a half.
