INCIDENT SUMMARY
In the midst of third shift, at approximately 23:45 Hours on Feb. 13, the regular CAP once again encountered a pair of Raiders, which for the fourth time in as many days served as apparent scouts to a larger swarm which jumped in moments later to engage the battlegroup. Combined air forces held Raiders off until Fleet could commence jump to its present position in border Sector 647 on the outer Colonial rim. As in past encounters these Raiders had neither basestar nor Heavy Raider support, their strength is purely in numbers, as they come upon us by the hundreds.
As it appears likely this situation shall continue, Lt. Col. Baer of the Areion and myself are establishing double CAPs from the strength of both our Wings at this time, for as long as the ship remains at Condition 2 and perhaps beyond, as we deem necessary. Clear eyes and steady hands in the days ahead.
